Free-agent WR Terrell Owens (Bengals) said he could have helped the Baltimore Ravens in their quest to win a Super Bowl this past season. "You look at the AFC championship. The Baltimore Ravens the past two years brought in two guys they thought could get the job done," Owens said. "It comes down to crucial catches and they didn't make those catches. So I am definitely aware of my talents."

Free-agent WR Terrell Owens (Bengals) still feels he is an elite wide receiver and he is surprised no one wanted him during the 2011 season. Williams was introduced Wednesday, Feb. 8, to a crowd, as a wide receiver for the Allen Wranglers of the Indoor Football League. He will also receive a 50 percent ownership in the franchise. "It was an opportunity for myself and my family," Owens said. "It's a way for myself to keep in shape. I haven't retired from the NFL. I want to play a couple more years. This right here will allow me to do that and assess where I am. I know I'm physically fit to play the game still."

Former NFL WR Terrell Owens feels he could have competed in the league this season, even at less than full strength. "It's not a question," Owens said. "I think everybody knows that even at 50 percent or 70 percent or 80 percent, I could have done some of the things if not better than what was out there on the field. Not to mention any names, but I think everybody knows what I'm capable of. My track record speaks for itself. I wasn't even 100 percent in the Super Bowl and I played on one leg basically. So from that standpoint alone, I felt like I could have played."

A publicist for free-agent WR Terrell Owens (Bengals) said he "absolutely" did not attempt suicide or overdose on pills earlier this month. In a statement, publicist Diana Bianchini said an assistant arrived at Owens' home Oct. 6 after he had taken a sleeping aid to fall asleep. The assistant did not realize that, became concerned and called 911. Bianchini said that when police arrived, Owens was responsive. In 2006, Owens made headlines for what police initially considered a suicide attempt but later was classified as an "accidental overdose" on prescription medicine.

Oakland Raiders QB Carson Palmer said he is not looking for a reunion with free-agent WR Terrell Owens (Bengals). Palmer and Owens had some success together with the Cincinnati Bengals last season. "T.O. and I had a great working relationship. He had one of his most successful years over the past five or six years, a lot of production and he was a great teammate in Cincinnati. The problem is that for him to get here there's not anybody that we could let go," Palmer said. "We have a stable of young horses that can run and guys that can just move. Very young, very inexperienced but tons of potential and it's tough to give up a young guy with a lot of potential for a guy that's got a lot of history in the league that's in his late 30s so I can't see him coming here, but I had a good time playing with him and he's an explosive player himself."
