Minnesota Vikings RB Adrian Peterson said via Twitter that he was looking to change his jersey number from 28 to either 23 or 21. However, the cost to do so would have been too expensive. Peterson would have to purchase all No. 28 jerseys that have been produced.

Minnesota Vikings head coach Leslie Frazier said Tuesday, Jan. 24, at the Senior Bowl that he's hopeful RB Adrian Peterson (knee) will make it back from his torn anterior cruciate ligament for the beginning of the 2012 season. He said that's the goal both Peterson and the team have set. Frazier said Peterson isn't quite ready to start running in the pool, but it's getting closer to that point.

Minnesota Vikings RB Adrian Peterson (knee) finished his first two weeks following surgery on his anterior and medial collateral ligaments in his left knee. Trainer Eric Sugarman said the first two weeks went as planned. Peterson is confident that he will make a full recovery and be back "better than I was before."

Minnesota Vikings RB Adrian Peterson (knee) underwent surgery Friday, Dec. 30, and has begun to rehab, according to head coach Leslie Frazier. "He's back in town now, as you can imagine, going 100 mph with the rehab, doing a good job, and so far, so good," Frazier said of Peterson. "There are some benchmarks that he'll have to hit along the way, but at this point, everything is moving in the right direction."

Minnesota Vikings RB Adrian Peterson (knee) underwent successful surgery Friday, Dec. 30, to fix torn anterior cruciate and medial collateral ligaments in his knee. "We've received word that Adrian underwent successful knee surgery with Dr. James Andrews and is now resting comfortably," head coach Leslie Frazier said. "Adrian is in our thoughts, we wish him a speedy recovery and we look forward to seeing him when he returns to Minnesota."
