The Tampa Bay Rays placed 3B Evan Longoria (hamstring) on the 15-day disabled list Tuesday, May 1. INF Will Rhymes was recalled from the minors and RP Kyle Farnsworth (elbow) was moved to the 60-day disabled list, meaning he can't return until June 5.

Tampa Bay Rays 3B Evan Longoria (hamstring) will not play Tuesday, May 1, and the team is still unsure how long he'll be out. SS Elliot Johnson could play third in the short term, and the Rays could call up INFs Reid Brignac or Will Rhymes if Longoria lands on the disabled list.
