Arizona Diamondbacks RP Takashi Saito (calf) worked a scoreless inning with one hit allowed in a minor-league rehab appearance with Class A Visalia Friday, April 20. Manager Kirk Gibson said Saito will pitch again Saturday, April 21, before he is re-evaluated.

Arizona Diamondbacks manager Kirk Gibson said Tuesday, April 17, that the team would like RP Takashi Saito (calf) to pitch at least one or two times in a minor-league rehab game before returning, but they will consult with the veteran pitcher. "If he doesn't want to do that, have to re-think it," Gibson said.
