David Elfin, of The Washington Times, confirmed the Washington Redskins saved nearly $1.75 million against the salary cap by restructuring the contract of WR Santana Moss. The Redskins extended his contract through 2013, and converted his base salary this year and next into a signing bonus. The conversion guarantees Moss almost $6.3 million.

Washington Redskins WR Santana Moss' agent, Drew Rosenhaus, Tweeted Moss has restructured his contract with the Redskins. According to Rosenhaus, it was done in order to guarantee and front load the next two seasons. Moss, per the Tweet, also improved his chances of receiving a contract extension after the 2009 season.
