Atlanta Braves OF Michael Bourn is taking a day off Wednesday, May 16, his first day off of the year. "Nothing major, just the legs are a little banged up," skipper Fredi Gonzalez said. Bourn is leading the National League with 55 hits and is tied for first with 17 multi-hit games. He's also hitting .340, which is second in the league. SS Tyler Pastornicky is hitting leadoff in his place. 3B Chipper Jones is also taking a day off after playing in five straight games.

Atlanta Braves OF Michael Bourn is just 3-for-24 (.125) with a .192 OPS and six strikeouts to begin the season. He's also been caught stealing (once) as much as he's stolen a base. Bourn is 0-for-15 against lefties this year, with four strikeouts and no walks. He only hit .210 (18-for-81) against southpaws last season.

Atlanta Braves OF Michael Bourn arrived at camp Wednesday, Feb. 22, well before the official deadline for non-catcher position players. Bourn, who can be a free agent at the end of the season, said there have not been any contract discussions. "That's just part of the game," Bourn said. "You need to deal with it how it comes. I'm just worried about getting in shape for the season."
