The outfielder has just one hit over his past 30 at-bats. "It's not a punishment," Mills said. "I'm just going to give him a couple of days. This will get me a chance to get (OF Justin Maxwell) some at-bats, and (OF Travis Buck has) gotten a few at-bats."

"The thing with Cust, we weren't able to use him in the outfield all of spring, really," manager Bradley Mills said.
