Tim MacMahon, of The Dallas Morning News, reports Dallas Cowboys head coach Wade Phillips said he believes the running attack will be a bigger factor for the team in 2009. He wants the team's coaching staff to find a way to get all three running backs - Marion Barber III, Felix Jones and Tashard Choice - involved in the offense. Owner/general manager Jerry Jones has made it clear he wants Barber fresh later in games when it is time to finish a game. The "Wildcat" formation would be one way to get multiple backs involved, but Phillips wants the coaching staff to figure out other ways to also feature the backs.
