The Seattle Seahawks re-signed RB Chris Henry Wednesday, Feb. 23, reports John Boyle, of the Everett Herald. Terms of the deal were undisclosed. Henry spent a majority of the season on the team's practice squad in 2010.

Former Cincinnati Bengals WR Chris Henry, who died in a traffic accident last year, had chronic traumatic encephalopathy (CTE) - a form of degenerative brain damage caused by multiple hits to the head - at the time of his death, reports Peter Keating, of ESPN The Magazine, according to scientists at the Brain Injury Research Institute, a research center affiliated with West Virginia University. "We would have been very happy if the results had been negative, but multiple areas of Chris Henry's brain showed CTE," said Julian Bailes, Director of BIRI and chairman of neurosurgery at West Virginia.

Sharon Coolidge, of the Cincinnati Enquirer, reports former Cincinnati Bengals WR Chris Henry's fiance, Loleini Tonga, will not be charged in connection with Henry's death, according to investigators. Tonga did nothing wrong while driving the truck from which Henry fell to his death in December, according to detectives with the Charlotte-Mecklenburg (N.C.) Police Department Homicide Unit along with the Highway Interdiction and Traffic Safety Unit. Homicide detectives determined Tonga and Henry were arguing at a Charlotte home Dec. 16 when she got into a truck and began to drive away. Henry jumped into the back of the truck and beat on the back of the vehicle. Henry then fell to his death, according to reports. His death has been ruled accidental with the cause being blunt force trauma to the head from a fall.

Updating an ongoing story, Aaron Wilson, of the National Football Post, reports Cincinnati Bengals WR Chris Henry (undisclosed) is still alive, according to the Cincinnati Enquirer's Joe Reedy. A Bengals team spokesman and Charlotte, N.C., police have confirmed Henry has not passed away. Henry was found in the road with life-threatening injuries when officers arrived, according to the Charlotte Observer's Cleve R. Wootson Jr. and Ely Portillo. Police refused to elaborate on whether Henry fell or might have been forced out of the truck.

Updating previous reports, The Associated Press reports Cincinnati Bengals WR Chris Henry (undisclosed) suffered his severe injuries after falling out of the back of a pickup truck during a domestic dispute with his fiance Wednesday, Dec. 16. Police say Henry jumped into the bed of the pickup truck as his fiance was driving away from a home. The dispute continued and Henry eventually fell out of the truck. Henry was taken to a hospital, where his condition was not immediately known.
