Cleveland Indians RP Chris Perez (shoulder) is feeling healthy but is dealing with a mechanical problem that led to him allowing five runs and five hits (three home runs) in 23 pitches in his second rehab outing with Double-A Akron Tuesday, June 18. Pitching coach Mickey Callaway and bullpen coach Kevin Cash think Perez is opening up too early in his delivery, which is hurting his velocity. Perez will throw Friday, June 21, and he'll likely need another rehab appearance. Manager Terry Francona said Perez won't be activated from the disabled list after a bullpen session Friday.

Porter Fischer, described as a former marketing director with Biogenesis, said Anthony Bosch met with New York Yankees 3B Alex Rodriguez during the American League Championship Series last year when Rodriguez sought to break a 1-for-9 slump. Fischer also said that Major League Baseball paid him $5,000 for clinic records he turned over to the league in their investigation of Biogenesis. Investigators have found some of Fischer's information as it relates to Rodriguez to be credible, according to sources. Fischer has cooperated in exposing Biogenesis because Bosch refused to pay Fischer money that he was owed.
