Toronto Blue Jays SP J.A. Happ (back) allowed a hit and a walk while striking out two in three innings in a minor league game Friday, March 14, and he said his back is feeling better. "I wanted to jump right back in, but they thought this was a good idea, and it turned out to be a good idea," Happ said of his brief absence to rest the injury. "I'm ready to go." The team is being cautious with Happ, and they'll make him earn a rotation spot in competition with the likes of SPs Esmil Rogers, Todd Redmond, Marcus Stroman and Ricky Romero.
FANTASY TIP: As Chisholm notes, it appears that Drew Hutchison has one of the remaining two spots locked up. He's a sleeper pick for AL-only managers. Happ has the experience, but Toronto may prefer health and youth from Stroman. Stay tuned.

The Indianapolis Colts agreed to an undisclosed one-year deal with free-agent WR Hakeem Nicks (Giants) Friday, March 14, according to a source.
FANTASY TIP: Nick's 2013 season was ruined by injuries and the fact that he wasn't happy with his contact in New York. Moving to Indy and taking passes from Andrew Luck will return him to fantasy relevance, assuming he can stay healthy. T.Y. Hilton will take plenty of attention away from him, too. Nicks should be a midrange WR2 with upside for more.

There are medical concerns surrounding free-agent WR Emmanuel Sanders (foot), meaning he may not get the type of deal he was seeking in free agency. He has a screw in each foot after injuries he suffered in the Super Bowl following the 2010 season. Sanders is reportedly seeking a contract similar to the five-year, $31.5 million deal that WR Golden Tate received from the Detroit Lions. The Pittsburgh Steelers are open to re-signing him, but he'll likely have to accept a much shorter deal.
