Vikings | Jared Allen healthy, pondering future
Minnesota Vikings DE Jared Allen (knee, shoulder), who's a free agent after this year, has "absolutely no idea" where he'll wind up in 2014. "Best-case scenario would have been that we would have never gotten to this point," Allen said. "Best-case scenario would have been the organization would have gotten something done (on an extension) a few years back. ... Well ya know what? That's not the case. And I understand it. ... I'm just happy I'm in a spot where both sides are honoring the contract."
FANTASY TIP: Allen feels confident that health will help him rebound during his walk year. The 31-year-old could be a bargain in IDP leagues if your leaguemates discredit him based on last season.

Giants | Justin Tuck not thinking about future
New York Giants DE Justin Tuck, a free agent at season's end, said Wednesday, May 22, that he wasn't thinking about his future with the team, or how he might fit under the salary cap in 2014. "Do I think about that?" Tuck asked. "Why would I? I just go out and do my job. I'm old enough to know better. You can't control it and if you try, it just gets worse."

49ers | Randy Moss not an option
San Francisco 49ers head coach Jim Harbaugh said the team isn't considering re-signing WR Randy Moss after learning that WR Michael Crabtree (Achilles') tore his Achilles' Wednesday, May 22. Harbaugh said the team is intrigued with the depth of young receivers they have on roster, and they are looking forward to them stepping up to the task. WR A.J. Jenkins, the team's 2012 first-round pick, will have a chance to make an impact in his second year. Jenkins has spent the offseason adding muscle and working with QB Colin Kaepernick.
FANTASY TIP: Look out for Jenkins as a late-round pick this summer. With Crabtree out, it's possible he could become the team's No. 2 receiver behind Anquan Boldin if he beats out Mario Manningham. Kaepernick proved last year that he can make the receiving unit in San Fran valuable.

NFL | Arena Football team serious about interest in Tim Tebow
Ron Jaworski, part owner of the Philadelphia Soul of the Arena Football League, said he is serious about his interest in signing free-agent QB Tim Tebow (Jets) to his team. Jaworski said he reached out to Tebow the day after he was released but has not heard from Tebow at this time. Jaworski thinks arena football would help Tebow because he would have to get rid of the football quickly and process information quickly.

Patriots | Brandon Spikes punching ticket out of town?
The New England Patriots could part ways with MLB Brandon Spikes after the 2013 season. The impending free agent has expressed displeasure with the Pats' expectations on how he must prepare for the regular season. He wasn't present for the start of OTAs and hasn't participated in their offseason conditioning workouts. The Patriots might prioritize team chemistry and avoid dealing with ongoing and potential headaches Spikes may cause.
FANTASY TIP: New England has been effective at plugging holes in their D with numerous chess pieces, despite their flaws with giving up points and passing yardage in recent seasons. They'll remain a starter-worthy unit this year, with Spikes as likely their most consistent contributor in tackles.
