NFL | Randy Moss' future undecided Free-agent WR Randy Moss (49ers) is still undecided if he will play football this season. There was reportedly interest in Moss a few months ago, although nothing has transpired since. Moss had only 434 yards last season. FANTASY TIP: Moss is very close to the end of his career, and he might just decide to call it quits if he doesn't have much interest out there. If he does latch on with a team, he probably won't be worth drafting unless you're in an extremely deep league. Comment |

Giants | Nothing imminent on Charles Woodson The New York Giants are not close to signing free-agent CB Charles Woodson (Packers) and no visit has been scheduled. The Giants would need Woodson to be OK with signing a one-year deal for close to the veteran minimum for a deal to be struck. Comment |

Giants | Dwight Freeney interested Free-agent LB Dwight Freeney (Colts) would love a chance to play for the New York Giants, according to his father. The Giants would likely look to sign him to a veteran-minimum deal, and Freeney would seem to fit that former DL Osi Umenyiora occupied. However, the Giants have plenty of other options for the defensive line at this point. FANTASY TIP: Freeney would be a much better fit with the Giants, but their lack of salary cap space and crowded defensive line cast probably rules them out. Freeney can probably get more money with another team, and he'll likely go with that instead. Comment |

Chargers | Impressed with Dwight Freeney The San Diego Chargers were impressed with their visit with free-agent LB Dwight Freeney (Colts), and head coach Mike McCoy would consider altering their defensive scheme to accommodate him. The Chargers use a base 3-4 defense, but Freeney was less effective in that setup with the Indianapolis Colts last season when he moved to outside linebacker. Freeney is a top priority for the Bolts after they lost LB Melvin Ingram (knee) to a season-ending knee injury last week. FANTASY TIP: Freeney isn't a very good fit at all for another 3-4 defensive scheme, which is why the Bolts are considering changing their defense around to fit him. This probably isn't the best idea, either, but they seem desperate with Ingram out for the year and Manti Te'o in his first season. Freeney probably isn't worth an IDP draft pick if he signs with SD or another 3-4 defensive club. Comment |

Giants | Interested in Charles Woodson The New York Giants are interested in signing free-agent CB Charles Woodson (Packers), according to Woodson's agent, Carl Poston. The Giants would likely sign Woodson to the veteran's minimum if he passes a physical. The Denver Broncos, Carolina Panthers and Oakland Raiders are also interested in his services. Woodson could play as a safety for New York, and he could also play corner, if needed. FANTASY TIP: Woodson has lost a step entering his age-37 season, and he likely won't be an every-down player with his new team. As a result, he doesn't carry much IDP value as a defensive back other than depth. Comment |
