Buffalo Bills WR Sammy Watkins (ribs) did not participate in team drills during practice Thursday, Aug. 21, and he has not been cleared to play in the team's preseason game Saturday, Aug. 23.
FANTASY TIP: Watkins has more than enough talent to produce like a WR3 as a rookie, but he continues to miss time that he could be using to develop a rapport with EJ Manuel. Missing time in the preseason won't destroy Watkins' value, but it could lead to a slower start than previously expected.

New Orleans Saints WR Brandin Cooks (illness) returned to practice on a limited basis Thursday, Aug. 21, and he is questionable for the team's preseason game Saturday, Aug. 23, according to head coach Sean Payton.
FANTASY TIP: Cooks has assumed many of the duties that Darren Sproles had in New Orleans' offense, and he has the speed to deliver big plays whenever he touches the ball. Consistency could be an issue for a rookie in an offense that tends to spread the wealth, but his upside is tough to ignore, especially in PPR formats. Draft him as a fourth or fifth receiver, but he has a chance to become a viable flex option.

Philadelphia Eagles RB LeSean McCoy's (thumb) X-rays on his right thumb came back negative, but he will not return to the team's preseason game Thursday, Aug. 21.
FANTASY TIP: It looks like McCoy avoided a serious injury. As the centerpiece of a high-powered offense, he should be one of the first players taken in any fantasy draft.

Philadelphia Eagles WR Jeremy Maclin (knee) walked off the field under his own power after falling and clutching his right knee during the team's preseason game Thursday, Aug. 21.
FANTASY TIP: Maclin has had multiple knee injuries in the past, but the fact that he was able to walk off is a good sign. If healthy he could be in for a big season with DeSean Jackson departing in the offseason. Consider him a WR3 with nice upside.

Philadelphia Eagles RB LeSean McCoy (thumb) left the team's preseason game Thursday, Aug. 21, and went to the locker room for X-rays on his right thumb.
FANTASY TIP: Stay tuned for updates on his condition. McCoy is an option for the No. 1 overall pick in all formats, and a serious injury would have a major impact.
