Tanaka will receive a platelet-rich plasma injection and attempt a throwing program. He could return in as little as six weeks, but Tommy John surgery is an option if the injury doesn't respond to treatment.

FANTASY TIP: While there is a chance Tanaka could be back this year, there is also a real possibility he will become the latest ace to undergo Tommy John surgery. If he does need Tommy John surgery, Tanaka will miss at least 12 months.
