The Washington Nationals think C Wilson Ramos is prepared to start 125 games or more in 2014, with Cs Jhonatan Solano and Sandy Leon backing him up. "I don't think he needs any more regular time off than any other front-line, full-time catcher," general manager Mike Rizzo said of Ramos. "He can play regularly. I don't know what the average everyday catcher caught … what, about a 125-128 games? I think he can take on that load. And if that's the case, we feel good about what we've got as our backups." Ramos hasn't caught more than 106 games in a single season in his career and has been limited to 101 games in the last two seasons combined.

Updating a previous report, Oakland Raiders head coach Dennis Allen said Monday, Dec. 9, that QB Matt McGloin will start the final three regular season games, with QB Terrelle Pryor seeing spot duty.
FANTASY TIP: No matter who is starting under center in Oakland, neither is worth using as anything more than a low-end QB2 in fantasy leagues which require two starting signal callers.

Dallas Cowboys WR Dwayne Harris (hamstring) is expected to be inactive for the Week 14 game against the Chicago Bears Monday, Dec. 9.
FANTASY TIP: It isn't a big deal for fantasy owners since he has little value as a receiver, but the Cowboys DST takes a hit with its best return man sidelined.

The Miami Marlins have no concerns with 2B Rafael Furcal (elbow) after he underwent Tommy John surgery on his right elbow last spring. "If you ask him he's going to be out there 162 games," Hill said. "He just loves to play. Before we went down that road obviously we had to get our arms around the medicals and get comfortable with the medicals. We have zero concerns about his ability to post for us and be a productive player."

Indianapolis Colts WR T.Y. Hilton had just two catches for seven yards while playing 45 snaps in Week 14 against the Cincinnati Bengals. In the last four weeks, Hilton has just 17 catches for 135 yards. Hilton had back-to-back 100-yard receiving games following WR Reggie Wayne's (knee) injury, but since then, opposing secondaries are clamping down on Hilton and giving him more double coverages. "I'm seeing double teams. Sometimes they roll the coverage my way. It just means guys got to step up, which they did, so we're moving in the right direction. (LaVon) Brazill, DHB (Darrius Heyward-Bey) made a big play and Da'Rick (Rogers) making plays, so as long as they continue to keep doing that, we should be fine."
FANTASY TIP: As a result, Da'Rick Rogers and LaVon Brazill have seen more opportunities. Rogers has benefitted the most, so maybe his emergence will draw some attention off of Hilton. Until then, temper your expectations with Hilton as more of a weak WR2.
