Pittsburgh Pirates SP Charlie Morton will earn $4 million next year, and his contract will increase to $8 million in 2015 and 2016. A team option for the 2017 season could increase the overall value of his deal to $30 million. The team option will turn into a mutual option if Morton is traded.

The Chicago Bears plan to put QB Jay Cutler (ankle) through a full-speed workout Wednesday, Dec. 11, before making a decision on whether he will start over QB Josh McCown in Week 15 against the Cleveland Browns. "We'll have receivers there afterwards. We'll work him through drops, redirect him in the pocket, move him up and down and get as much suddenness out of him as we can," head coach Marc Trestman said. "He's gone through the first steps (of being cleared to play) other than this workout. He's been cleared from a standpoint of allowing us to work him at full speed."

Chicago Bears head coach Marc Trestman said the team will name a starting quarterback Thursday, Dec. 12, after QB Jay Cutler (ankle) participates in the team's walkthrough Wednesday, Dec. 11. Trestman said he is optimistic that Cutler will be able to play Week 15.
FANTASY TIP: Owners will have to wait a day or two before finding out who will start. Cutler likely would be a low-end No. 1 quarterback if he is able to return to the lineup. Josh McCown should be considered a solid No. 1 quarterback if he keeps the job.

Tampa Bay Buccaneers head coach Greg Schiano said the team blitzes because he does not think the team's defensive line can get to the quarterback on its own. "I'd love and I long for the day when we can have four guys put their hand in the dirt and say go get them," Schiano said. "Right now I think we'd all agree we don't have that level like we did in the past."

Minnesota Vikings RB Adrian Peterson (foot) is out of his walking boot and will attempt to practice Friday, Dec. 13. However, the team is more optimistic that RB Toby Gerhart (hamstring) will be able to play in Week 15 against the Philadelphia Eagles than Peterson. Peterson will have to practice Friday in order to play Sunday.
FANTASY TIP: Be fully prepared to bench AD this weekend. If he plays, there's a good chance he'll be limited in some fashion. To be safe during the fantasy semis, you'll probably want to go in another direction.
