Panthers | Peete Once Again Close?

Pat Yasinskas reports for the Charlotte Observer the Carolina Panthers are once again close to re-signing free agent QB Rodney Peete (Panthers). Peete and GM Marty Hurney said Tuesday night he was on the verge of agreeing on a three-year deal. League sources said the contract will be worth about $4 million plus incentives. Coach John Fox has said he expects Peete to go to training camp as the starter.
