The Detroit News reports Detroit Lions special offensive assistant Sherman Lewis, who was hired in 2002 because of his knowledge of the West Coast offense and spent 10 seasons as offensive coordinator in Green Bay and Minnesota, is the top candidate to replace offensive coordinator Maurice Carthon.
