Jaguars | Toby Gerhart wants to carry offense
Jacksonville Jaguars RB Toby Gerhart is hoping to be the Jaguars' version of "Beast Mode" this year. "Toby is very light on his feet. ... He averaged 4.7 yards per carry (1,305 yards, 276 carries) his four years in Minnesota. He was playing behind one of the greatest backs in Adrian Peterson, so he wasn't going to lose a lot of tread off his tires," general manager David Caldwell said. Gerhart plans to spend the next four weeks before training camp acclimating to the Florida humidity, and he hopes the improved offensive line will help him be successful in 2014.
Fantasy Tip: The main factor working in Gerhart's favor, other than finally having the opportunity as a leading back, is the fact that his legs are fresh. He'll receive the lion's share of the touches for an offense that could surprise some folks. That's enough to be at least a top-tier RB3 with upside.
