Nationals | Gio Gonzalez throws sim game
Washington Nationals SP Gio Gonzalez (shoulder) threw a simulated game Sunday, June 1, that consisted of 50 pitches. "Gio's good," manager Matt Williams said after Sunday's game. "After the session (Sunday), he reported that he felt great. So we'll look to a rehab start in the coming days. But he came out of it great." Gonzalez's velocity was up during the session, and he looked normal. He is scheduled to throw five or six innings in a rehab games this week, and he could make his return to the team around June 11.
