Rangers | Matt Harrison likely done for year
Texas Rangers SP Matt Harrison (back) was diagnosed with severe nerve irritation in his lower back, and he will need spinal fusion surgery to eliminate the discomfort. The surgery would force him to miss the rest of the season. Harrison could try to rehab the injury and get it to a point where he could pitch through the discomfort. He has yet to select an option. "The facts are there aren't a lot of guys who've had it and come back successfully," general manager Jon Daniels said Wednesday, May 14.
