Athletics | A.J. Griffin shut down for three weeks
Oakland Athletics SP A.J. Griffin (elbow) will be shut down for three weeks because flexor tendinitis in his elbow. Griffin will not need surgery because no structural damage was evident. Griffin may receive a platelet rich plasma injection in the elbow.
Fantasy Tip: It appears that Griffin will start the regular season on the disabled list because of his elbow injury. Griffin was considered a later-round picks in mixed leagues before the injury but likely will go undrafted in most leagues because of the injury.
