NFL | WWU Prospect Hopes to Get Call on Draft Day

According to the Seattle Times, Western Washington QB Scott Mitchell has a good chance of being selected in the NFL Draft this weekend. He'd be the first WWU player since DL Dave Weedman was taken in the 12th round in 1968. If Mitchell doesn't get picked during the seven-round draft, he'll likely be brought in as a rookie free agent. Mitchell threw for 2,778 yards and 25 TDs and has been praised for his mobility and decision-making skills. The Falcons, Bengals and Giants have been among the teams most interested in him.
