Nationals | Coach believes in Danny Espinosa
Washington Nationals hitting coach Rick Schu still believes in 2B Danny Espinosa after he struck out a combined 148 times between the majors and minors last season. "For me, what I see offensively, he can be the total package. He could be that guy that hits for average. He is a switch hitter, power from both sides, he is really an exciting guy. He had an off year because of injuries. Playing in the big leagues is tough," Schu said. Espinosa will compete for the starting second base job with 2B Anthony Rendon.
Fantasy Tip: Rendon is fully expected to be the Nats' starter at the keystone, which would force Espinosa to a bench role or back in the minors.
