Bears | Lance Briggs cleared
Chicago Bears LB Lance Briggs (shoulder) has been medically cleared to return in week 16 against the Philadelphia Eagles, but it remains to be seen if the team allows him to suit up. Briggs is listed as questionable for the game. "I'm very optimistic. He practiced for three days. He's been cleared by the doctors," head coach Marc Trestman said. "We'll list him as questionable up until game time. He'll work out before the game and we'll see where he's at. But I wouldn't want to say that he's gonna play, he's gonna start. I think that's still 48 hours away. But certainly as we began the week fully optimistic, even more now since he's been cleared by the doctors." Briggs practiced in full Friday, Dec. 20. Trestman won't guarantee how much Briggs will play if he does suit up, however, and there are no expectations about his level of play.
