Bears | Coach admits to mistake with Jay Cutler

Chicago Bears head coach Marc Trestman said he should have taken QB Jay Cutler (ankle, groin) out of the game before the team's final offensive drive in the fourth quarter in Week 10 against the Detroit Lions. Cutler suffered a left ankle injury late in the second half that affected his play negatively. "I went through the tape closely this morning and watched Jay's performance, and I thought he did well into the fourth quarter," Trestman told WBBM-FM, the Bears' flagship radio station. "But at the end of the day, if we had to do it all over again, maybe it would be one series before the two-minute drill (that Cutler comes out)." Cutler finished 21-for-40 for 250 yards and one touchdown and one interception. Trestman won't say yet if Cutler will be healthy enough to start in Week 11 against the Baltimore Ravens.

Fantasy Tip: Cutler remains a backup QB option as long as his ankle and groin injuries are hobbling him on the field. The fact that he's not even certain to play this weekend should not make you comfortable considering him a starting option.
