Yankees | Brett Gardner to undergo MRI
New York Yankees OF Brett Gardner (oblique) will undergo an MRI exam after he felt a twinge in his left oblique Thursday, Sept. 12. "I have no idea. I've never dealt with anything like this before," he said. "But it felt serious enough for me to say something and come out of the game. So you take what you want from that. I don't think anything's broken, obviously, but it's just one of those things where I've never had an issue before, and I know something's not right." Manager Joe Girardi said he thinks Gardner will at least miss a couple of games.
Fantasy Tip: It's tough to return quickly from oblique injuries, so Gardner could easily be lost for the remainder of the season, depending on the severity. This would be a huge blow to the Yanks and your fantasy squad. Check back for the results of his MRI exam.
