Phillies | Roy Halladay slowly regaining form
Philadelphia Phillies SP Roy Halladay (shoulder) allowed two runs -- one earned -- on seven hits and three walks while striking out four in six innings for Class A Lakewood on Tuesday, Aug. 20, in his second rehab start since May right shoulder surgery. Halladay said he still feels as if he's being cautious and is focused more on repeating his mechanics correctly, and he primarily used his variety of fastballs. He was happy with his location, for the most part.
Fantasy Tip: It seems likely that the Phils will have Doc make at least one more rehab start, and he could probably use a couple more, considering that he didn't record many ground-ball outs. But the organization would like to get him in a big-league mound by September so that they can get a good look at him, and the impending free agent surely wants to demonstrate that he's as good as new. Fantasy owners in deep leagues should stash Halladay, at this point, if he's available, in case the initial, positive prognosis is accurate.
