Mets | David Wright hopes to return
New York Mets 3B David Wright (hamstring) is planning on making a return before the end of the season, but there's no timetable on when that might be. He has yet to resume baseball activities. "I don't think in my mind there's any question," Wright said about a return. "It's actually probably a good thing, but the medical staff doesn't really give me too much of an outlying plan; that's really day by day. Again, much to my disagreement 'cause I like to plan things out and know where I'm going to be." He hasn't had any setbacks and is playing catch and hitting off a tee.
Fantasy Tip: Wright is running out of time to return to the team, and he'll need to go on a rehab assignment before the minor league season ends in early September. Don't count on Wright making a significant impact for your team in the final month.
