Yankees | Alex Rodriguez begins grievance process
New York Yankees 3B Alex Rodriguez and his lawyers have officially started their grievance process against the New York Yankees, saying the team mishandled Rodriguez's medical treatment in last year's playoffs and put him on the field when they knew he was playing on a bad hip. Rodriguez's representatives are also claiming that president Randy Levine told the surgeon who operated on Rodriguez's hip that if he never saw the field again that he would be OK with that. The last point of contention is that the team refused to let Rodriguez play because of a Grade 1 quadriceps strain that Rodriguez said wasn't the case. The Yankees are denying all allegations.
