Cardinals | Shelby Miller hoping to make next start
St. Louis Cardinals SP Shelby Miller (elbow) is optimistic he'll make his next start after being hit by a line drive Wednesday, Aug. 7, and suffering a right elbow contusion. "It feels good," said Miller, who began the day with an 11-7 record and a 2.89 ERA. "I mean, it doesn't feel good but it's better than it could be. I'm planning on making my next start." SP Jake Westbrook, who was scheduled to pitch Thursday, Aug. 8, came into the game in the second inning on three days of rest.
Fantasy Tip: Miller owners dodged a bullet with this one, as it looked pretty bad initially when he came off the field. Be prepared to start him if he makes his next start.
