Phillies | Roy Halladay to throw sim game
Philadelphia Phillies SP Roy Halladay (shoulder) will throw a simulated game Saturday, Aug. 10, in Florida as he continues his recovery. It could be the last step before he pitches in a minor league game, and there's a chance he could still return this year. Halladay is "cautiously optimistic" that he can return and compete at a high level after having not suffered any setbacks. "I'm not worried about next year," Halladay said. "I want to come back and pitch. I just want to be a part of things and be effective. There was a lot going on in (my shoulder) that was affecting things. Really, for myself, to come back and say, 'Hey, this is something I could overcome,' that means more than anything.
Fantasy Tip: You probably don't need to tuck Halladay away for a potential return until he gets closer to realizing his goal. If you've been stashing him on the DL, continue to do so.
