Seahawks | Percy Harvin to have hip surgery
Updating a previous report, Seattle Seahawks WR Percy Harvin (hip) posted on his official Twitter account Tuesday, July 30, that he requires surgery for his hip. The estimated recovery time is three to four months, according to a source close to Harvin. He could go on the Physically Unable to Perform list and return at some point this season.
Fantasy Tip: If you haven't drafted yet, steer far clear of Harvin. Sidney Rice (knee) and Golden Tate will be the top receiver options in Seattle when healthy, although Rice is himself dealing with an ailment. Tate might be a nice sleeper in deeper leagues. TE Zach Miller is also someone likely to see more targets and fantasy appeal. The Seahawks had a pretty good offense last season, even without Harvin, so don't expect them to take a big step backwards.
