Jaguars | Denard Robinson working in Wildcat
Jacksonville Jaguars RB Denard Robinson was used on three Wildcat plays in practice Monday, July 29. Robinson ran the ball once, handed off to RB Maurice Jones-Drew another time, and completed a pass to WR Mike X. Brown the other time. Robinson reportedly struggled with the Wildcat during organized team activities (OTAs), but head coach Gus Bradley thinks Robinson has the potential to run the trick play. "We did it in OTAs and a couple of times he ran the ball and fumbled the ball and he didn't know how to pitch," Bradley said. "We're not going to give up on that. (Offensive coordinator Jedd Fisch)'s philosophy is to get it in the playmaker's hands and we want to see if he's a playmaker and the threat he can give us."
Fantasy Tip: For fantasy purposes, Robinson's value is still way down. It is unlikely he'll see the field for more than a handful of plays to warrant consideration even in the deepest of leagues. Fantasy owners should monitor the situation, though, as the Jaguars need some excitement in their offense with shaky quarterback play.
