Phillies | Receiving offers for Cliff Lee
The Philadelphia Phillies are receiving late interest from other teams in SP Cliff Lee as the trade deadline nears, according to baseball sources. General manager Ruben Amaro Jr. is keeping all options open when it comes to Lee and other players on roster. "I never put any real absolutes on anything," Amaro said. "Although we don't have any desire to move a guy like that because we view him as someone who will be key to our future, I am a businessperson as well and I'll be a good listener." Lee is 10-4 with a 3.05 ERA this year. He will be paid $25 million in each of the 2013-15 seasons and possesses a limited no-trade clause that allows him to block a trade to 21 teams each season.
Fantasy Tip: Lee's value likely won't change drastically with any move he makes in a trade. He's an ace no matter what league he's pitching in, thanks in large part to his low walk totals.
