Phillies | Roy Halladay close to throwing off mound
Philadelphia Phillies SP Roy Halladay (shoulder) has had eight long-toss sessions of 120 feet since undergoing shoulder surgery in May. His most recent session was Friday, July 19, and he finished by throwing approximately six pitches to a catcher on flat ground. Halladay is expected to begin throwing from a mound soon and general manager Ruben Amaro Jr. said he hopes he can return to the starting rotation by September.
