NFL | Progress in concussion research
The University of Nebraska's Center for Brain, Biology and Behavior, which opens this month, is expected to be putting the finishing touches on a device that can analyze a player's brain waves while he's on the sideline and determine within minutes whether he can return safely to the game. The CB3, as it's called, has a functional magnetic resonance imaging machine that can help to determine what is and isn't a concussion, as well as assess other injuries.
