Reds | Rehab process will be longer for Johnny Cueto
Cincinnati Reds SP Johnny Cueto (lat) will find the rehab process much longer this time around, as the team will be especially deliberate. He is battling a strained right latissimus muscle for the third time this season. "It's in the almost identical spot on the scan, over basically the scar tissue that had built up over that muscle," the team's head trainer said Sunday, June 30. "It's a small, tiny tear that was healing. He just picked that scab, basically."
Fantasy Tip: The team plans to shut Cueto down from throwing for at least a couple of weeks, and there is no timetable for his return just yet. It sounds like Cueto could be sidelined for much, if not all, of the month of July, just reading between the lines.
