Mets | Ike Davis might not return this week
New York Mets manager Terry Collins said the club doesn't want to recall 1B Ike Davis and have him facing left-handed pitchers right away. The Mets are facing their third straight southpaw Wednesday, June 26, and they face two more lefties this weekend, meaning Davis may not be in line for a promotion until sometime next week. He's hitting .429 with two home runs and a walk in 14 at-bats against lefties at Triple-A Las Vegas.
Fantasy Tip: Davis has seen improvements at the plate at Las Vegas, albeit in the hitter-friendly Pacific Coast League. It seems as though the Mets will bring him back soon. He's worth stashing and taking a chance on in deep mixed leagues when that happens.
