Braves | Jason Heyward coming around

Atlanta Braves OF Jason Heyward had an RBI double in the fifth, a solo home run in the seventh and a season-high three RBIs all told on Tuesday, June 25. He's hit .307 (27-for-88) with five doubles, four homers, eight RBIs, a .365 OBP and a .500 slugging percentage in his past 22 contests, following a rough start to the year. "It's building," he said. "It's going to take time. It's going to require analyzing it, making sure I know what's going on, be very aware of how I feel up there and what I need to tweak. But it's definitely steps in the right direction."

Heyward homered against Kansas City Royals RP Tim Collins, a left-hander, on Tuesday. It's his first in 65 at-bats against southpaws this season and the first round-tripper that Collins has allowed in 2013.

Fantasy Tip: Fantasy owners will welcome the positive signs. Heyward has had difficulty maintaining his gains. The understanding of how to continue to make minor adjustments, even when things are going well, might be the final hurdle he has to clear before he becomes a star. Fingers crossed.
