Braves | Justin Upton returns to lineup

Atlanta Braves OF Justin Upton (hand) returned to the lineup on Tuesday, June 25, after he'd missed two games because of a sore right hand. He was penciled in at DH for his team's first game of an interleague series at the Kansas City Royals. A few hours prior to the game, he described his hand as "good." He also indicated that he first experienced the soreness on Saturday, June 22, when swinging and called it inflammation, the type of thing that's the result of overuse.

OF Jordan Schafer started in left field for the third straight game on Tuesday.

Fantasy Tip: Upton may have been indicating, also, that his recent power drought isn't health-related, or at least related to this hand ailment. Schafer seems to have flourished in his part-time role; perhaps he'd be worth a look in deep mixed leagues if more concrete playing time came about.
