Rays | Alex Cobb hopes to return
Tampa Bay Rays SP Alex Cobb (concussion) is still hoping to return at some point this season after suffering a mild concussion after being hit by a line drive June 15. He has spent the last nine days resting and there is no timetable for his return to the mound. Cobb is dealing with a buildup of fluid in his right ear that will need to subside before he is cleared to resume physical activities. He'll also need to be symptom-free from concussions. He's still suffering from concussion-related headaches and has had bouts of vertigo. Doctors have told him he's healing quicker than expected and should see rapid progress in the near future.
Fantasy Tip: With no timetable for his return, it'll become difficult to hold onto Cobb in shallow mixed leagues if you don't have room for him on the DL. In deeper leagues, you should try to stash him for as long as you can; he had been lights out this year until the line drive to the head.
