Mets | Ike Davis makes mechanical adjustment
New York Mets 1B Ike Davis had two hits Wednesday, May 29, and an opposite-field double Friday, May 31, and manager Terry Collins said Davis is working on some changes in the batter's box. "He's changed a lot of things," Collins said. "He's moved up on the plate a little bit. Obviously, he's more upright than he has been. He's been able to keep himself back on his back side a little bit longer, which I think has helped."
Fantasy Tip: Davis has a ways to go until we can say he's turned things around. He's still hitting just .168 on the season after going 2-for-7 with a homer over the weekend. But if he starts making more contact, good things may happen. This isn't an endorsement to run to the wire and add him, but if he continues to improve this week, you should consider it.
