Jets | Latest on QB situation

New York Jets QB Mark Sanchez said the notion of him not starting Week 1 hasn't crossed his mind. His confidence appeared to be improved one week after Sanchez threw three interceptions during an organized team activity practice and was chided by head coach Rex Ryan. Sanchez, who went 8-for-12 on passing attempts in team drills Thursday, May 30, said his accuracy is "where [he wants] it to be," echoing offensive coordinator Marty Mornhinweg's comments from last week. Ryan said Sanchez's confidence is returning. QB Geno Smith, meanwhile, said he wouldn't be disappointed if he began the season on the bench, though a source close to him claims he'd be crushed if he wasn't the opening-week starter.

Fantasy Tip: Whoever wins the honor to direct this West Coast offense will have low-end QB2 value, if not worse. Smith would have more fantasy upside if he can get things together, but that's not a safe bet.
