Blue Jays | J.A. Happ aims to return in June
Toronto Blue Jays SP J.A. Happ (head, knee) hopes to return to the rotation in mid-June. The earliest he'll try throwing outdoors is Friday, May 24, because he hadn't yet received the knee brace required for him to start doing so. Happ, who suffered a fractured skull, ear contusions and sprained right knee ligaments on the fall when he was hit in the head with a line drive on May 7, hasn't begun running but has been throwing indoors against a wall with a weighted ball. His head injuries have healed according to plan, per doctors.
Fantasy Tip: It's fortunate to see him making this recovery after the ghastly incident. AL-only leaguers should expect him back for back-end utility this summer.
