Diamondbacks | Patrick Corbin strong again
Arizona Diamondbacks SP Patrick Corbin allowed four hits and just one run in 6 1/3 innings to beat the Philadelphia Phillies Thursday, May 9, and in the process lowered his ERA to 1.75 on the year. He became the first hurler to throw at least six innings and allow two runs or fewer in his first seven starts of the season since SP Ubaldo Jimenez had 12 straight such outings with the Colorado Rockies in 2010. Corbin tossed only 89 pitches and didn't let a runner reach third base. He walked only two and struck out four in the contest.
Fantasy Tip: Corbin came into this year definitely underrated, but he isn't any longer. He's made gains in dominance, control and his ground-ball inducement all together, which is the reason for his success. He should be owned everywhere.
