Phillies | Roy Halladay to have surgery Wednesday
Philadelphia Phillies SP Roy Halladay (shoulder) is scheduled to have shoulder surgery Wednesday, May 15, in Los Angeles. The surgery is scheduled to repair a bone spur in his shoulder, a partial tear in his rotator cuff and some fraying in his labrum. Halladay believes he can return in three months, but a timetable likely will not be made until the damage in his shoulder is known.
Fantasy Tip: Even if Halladay is able to pitch again this season, it likely will not be until July or August based on his three-month timetable. Halladay could be stashed on the disabled list in hopes he can come back as an improved pitcher after the surgery.
