Indians | Scott Kazmir impresses

Cleveland Indians SP Scott Kazmir struck out 10 hitters in six innings to defeat the Oakland Athletics Thursday, May 9. Kazmir gave up just one run and five hits, and he has won back-to-back starts now for the first time since 2010. "I'm not thinking about last year or what happened before that," Kazmir said. "I'm looking ahead. I'm throwing the ball well right now. I'm feeling better every time out." He hadn't posted double-digit strikeouts since August of 2009 with the Tampa Bay Rays.

Fantasy Tip: There was so much to be encouraged about in this start for Kazmir. For one, he didn't walk a single hitter. Secondly, he was hitting 95 to 96 mph on the radar gun. Kazmir re-invented himself in the offseason and shouldn't be ignored any longer, even in deep mixed leagues.
