Yankees | Ivan Nova rehabs
New York Yankees SP Ivan Nova (triceps) gave up two runs in four-plus innings in an extended spring game Wednesday, May 8, and he felt better than expected. Nova didn't feel any pain in his triceps, but his location wasn't very sharp. He threw all his pitches and allowed five hits while walking three and striking out five. Nova is hoping that he can return to the rotation next, but his next outing is undetermined.
Fantasy Tip: Joe Girardi didn't seem to think Nova's command was up to par, so it's likely that he'll throw another extended spring outing or in a minor league game before returning to the rotation. Nova hasn't been very sharp this year. Until he can turn things around, he's best left to the waiver wire in mixed leagues.
